Gwledd Conwy Feast 2017
IMAGE

North Wales is a beacon for interesting activities and various festivals throughout the year. Just because the weather is beginning to transcend into the autumn, does not mean the fun is packed up and shipped off elsewhere! You may be lucky enough to have found accommodation that is self catering in Llandudno, but a weekend of music, art, and feasting is quickly approaching and is certainly not to be missed!

Just a very short drive away from Llandudno is the town of Conwy, which will be hosting the Gwledd Conwy Feast on Friday the 27th October to Sunday the 29th October. The extensively historical quayside town, home to Conwy Castle and surrounded by medieval fortress walls, will be constructing a stage and pitching up several tents to house the wide range of musical, artistic, and catering talents that North Wales has to offer the public!

Held during the rake-only mussel fishing season to make the food event, patrons will be spoiled for choice with a wide variety of foods and activities for all the family to enjoy. Children can take part in a cooking academy hosted by Head Chef of the Outside Food Group, Eddie Parry, alongside his assistant Donna German. Your child can really use their creative talents with a stain glass window workshop and many more imaginative activities such as storytelling, poetry, and writing activities, all held at St Mary’s Church over the long weekend!

You won't be disappointed with the line-up of music, consisting of renowned local bands such as Pinc Ffloyd, Storyville Mob, and Bad Dog occupying the limelight on Friday night. Saturday will be full to the brim with diverse musical talents such as The Wee bag Band, Ukulele Party, Deckchair Protest, Reggae Knights, and Motown Council. However, you can use Sunday to wind down by enjoying the relaxed atmosphere provided by Coastal Voices and The Suspects.

Gwledd Conwy feast is largely considered to be the best value festival throughout the entire North Wales festival calendar. So don’t miss your opportunity to taste amazing food and hear amazing music!
