Book Llandudno Hotels for the Air Show Now

This May Llandudno hotels should be stuffed thanks to the spectacular events occurring on both May bank holiday weekends. The second bank holiday will be host to the first Llandudno air show on Saturday 25th May.

The air show is to honour the charitable work done for blind veterans and servicemen and it is free for all to come watch these feats of aeronautic engineering and manoeuvring. The event will be sponsored by Mostyn Estates. It is for everyone to enjoy and a great day out in Llandudno but most importantly the event is to support the military charities ‘Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund’ and ‘Life Beyond Sight Loss’.

The event is taking place just off the North shore of Llandudno beach. Spectators will find the whole of the promenade the best place for viewing this impressive display but get there early for a good spot. Many gorgeous Llandudno hotels line the North shore or are within easy walking distance from the air show. Remember to book Llandudno hotels early if you are travelling to visit the town for the air show on the second May bank holiday.

The line up for the day may be subject to changes but so far it is shaping up to be quite the striking occasion. The show begins at 12 on the Saturday and will feature Westland Sea kings, Hawker Hurricanes, Submarine Spitfires and RAF Falcons to name but a few. There will also be a search and rescue demonstration and performances by Cor Meibion Maelgwn male voice choir and the Llandudno town band. There will even be free fall parachutists landing on the beach, which should be a display of elegance and bravery that is both breath taking and nerve wracking to watch.

This event is an important reminder of the dedication of our veterans.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather, look forward to a fantastic display and a great day out in Llandudno.
