Traditional Self Catering Llandudno Accommodation

We all deserve a break from our regular routine every once in awhile. Whether it’s jetting off abroad or staying a little closer to home, a week’s break can make a huge difference to your overall morale.

A hotel can offer a luxury break away, but if you want to experience something a little more unique on your break, a self catering Llandudno accommodation is a great choice.

One place in particular which stands out as one of the most charming self catering accommodation options is the Storehouse Cottage, owned by The Queen’s Head.

Located just a short walk from the cottage, The Queen’s Head is a cosy country pub and restaurant, complete with a roaring log fire and traditional decor, which serves up delicious dishes prepared by expert chefs.

The Cottage

Your stay at the Storehouse Cottage doesn’t have to be fully self catering.

You can also opt for a breakfast package, in which you’ll receive a tasty continental breakfast upon the morning of your arrival, as well as a cooked breakfast in The Queen’s Head each morning of your stay.

The interior of the Storehouse Cottage is the perfect blend of traditional and modern features. The cosy living area, with its large armchairs and real flame gas fire creates a wonderful environment to relax in, perhaps with a DVD or book, and a glass of your favourite wine.

You’ll find everything you need within the cottage kitchen, including an electric stove and all the kitchen appliances you’d expect. You’ll also find a cafetiere, allowing you to enjoy a freshly brewed coffee when you wake up in the morning.

The aesthetic mosaic-tiled cottage bathroom has some very convenient modern features, including a sound link which connects to the CD player in the lounge so you can listen to music whilst in the bath, as well as a toasty heated towel rail.

Last but certainly not least, the bedroom of the cottage features a romantic and very plush 6ft kingsize bed, fitted with 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and topped with goose down pillows, for an absolutely superb night's sleep.

The cottage bedroom also features a flat screen TV with a DVD player, allowing you to cosy up in bed and watch your favourite films during your stay. If you’ve been out exploring the North Wales region all day, it’s a perfect way to end a busy day before resting up to experience it all again the next.

The Location

In terms of its location, the Storehouse Cottage is close to the seaside town of Llandudno.

This popular tourist resort is fantastic for scenic coastal walks along the promenade, and there are plenty of activities to try along the way.

For panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, a trip up to the top of the Great Orme should be on your list. You’ve got the choice of walking or driving all the way to the top, and there’s a café serving hot food and drinks to relax in once you reach it.

Close to the Great Orme are also cable car rides, as well as a traditional tramway which has been taking visitors up to just below the summit of the Great Orme for over 100 years.

Once you’ve explored Llandudno, the town of Conwy isn’t too far away. This walled town is popular with visitors from across the globe, thanks to its 13th century medieval castle.

The town is also popular for its quay, which offers beautiful views of the River Conwy, and is also home to the Smallest House in Britain, which has become a popular tourist attraction.
