Llandudno is a marvellous seaside town and is at it's very best in summertime, being a famous seaside resort it attracts a lot of events seeking it as a venue, which is great news for the town and locals because there's always lots to do. Here are some picks of the choice events happening in and around Llandudno this summer.

LightWing parade

Honda LightWings will be taking over Llandudno on August 30th where collectors and fans will gather with the famous bikes to show them off. LightWing collectors have a tradition of decorating their bikes with neon lights and ornaments, giving them different themes and modifications so they look spectacular. There will be a static display on the promende from 12 till 4. Following this at 8:00pm there will be a full fledged parade of these bikes round the town which will be a dazzling display of lights and machines.

Conwy River Festival

Established 1993, the Conwy river festival celebrates the relationship of the historic town of Conwy and its wonderful river estuary. The festival has grown over the years and reflects both aspects of the town, both its ancient roots and its modern prosperity. It offers an array of water based activities, as well as an assortment of riverside entertainment for all the family to enjoy. Whether your a sailor or simply want to enjoy the merriment, come on down, the festival is running from the 9th to the 17th of August.

Prom Xtra

Formally known as 'Prom Day', having been moved from its usual Mayday slot to allow construction work on Colwyn Bay Beach, the event will now be taking place on August Bank Holiday, get involved in the activities and entertainment that will be adorning the newly renovated promenade. X-factor contestants boyband Kingsland Road and singer Jahmie Douglas will be performing along with assorted local acts. Come along for the traditional funfair as well as new activities taking place at Porth Eirias. From 10am to 5pm, 23rd to the 25th of August.
